The Happiest Place in FGII....

First I decided to switch the highlighting to names instead of the SD/SA/EFF which enables the feature for all powers instead of just those which are tagged with special effects. I think it's a great way to look up keywords/range/etc. Here you see it working on an aura.

And then, because my email contained the phrase: "Now all you have to do is figure out a way for me to mark when encounter powers are used by NPC’s and I’ll be happy forever!"

I decided to see if I couldn't do something with those [e]'s that follow limited usage powers. In the end I made them like [R:#] powers. If you double click on the [e] it toggles to [USED] if you roll/drag an attack clause with a [e], it also clicks to [USED]. The screen shots show examples.

Dude, that is a quantum leap in usability. I am quivering with excitement to get my hands on the next parser

The final version looks a little different as moon_wizard cleaned up some of my code and made it work better.

I think the only thing holding up the new ruleset is a new version of FGII (2.4.0).

The parser hasn't changed in a week or two, so I'm pretty sure it's stable. Unfortunately the changes made to support multiple linked powers in the PHB2 would remove the functionality of linked powers from earlier books (like channel divinity feats). So it has to wait until the new ruleset.

dude this is pretty much godlike. I cannot wait to get my hands on this too. any word when 2.4.0 comes out so i can sink my teeth into this? I also cannot wait for arcane powers to come out, from the preview there will be alot of new keywords.

Your guess is as good as mine. Last I heard they were working on some extension issues. You can find the thread about it in The Laboratory section of the FGII forums.

Our first full session with it should be tonight. It will be interesting to see if it's as useful as I suspect it will be.

I was excited about arcane power, but WOTC has apparently decided they don't want me to buy it. They'd rather take my $5/month and have me scrape it out of the compendium instead of taking the ~$25ish a month I was happy to give them for the pdf.
